Our Story
Teal Wings of Hope was born from deep love, personal loss, and the powerful legacy of one remarkable woman: Babs Barrett.
This foundation was not started by Babs — but it was inspired by her. In her final days, Babs made it clear to her doctor, Dr. Warner Huh, what she wanted her legacy to be: a future where no woman has to walk the path she did. And from that wish, this mission was born.

Why Teal Wings of Hope
Teal
Teal is the official awareness color for ovarian cancer. It represents strength, support, and the collective voice of the women, families, doctors, and researchers who are part of this journey.
Wings
Wings symbolize the many women we've lost and those we carry with us in spirit — their courage, their stories, and the love that remains.
Hope
Hope is our driving force. Hope for earlier detection. Hope for better outcomes. Hope for a day when no woman loses her life because her cancer was found too late.
